The Waypoints mod, created by kamildanak, provides players with the ability to instantly move from one place to another. It works somehow like a check points in parkour maps. But in fact, the mod creator was inspired by the waypoints system in the very famous game – Diablo. It is one of the most importatnt systems in Diablo since there are too many places and the map are too large. The same problem also happens in the gameplay of Minecraft. With the mod installed it would help players save a lot amount of time since players now won’t have to run back and forth from one place to another.
After installing the Waypoints mod, the players haven’t possess the ability to “teleport” yet. In order to instantly move from one place to another, players have to create waypoints. Players need to place waypoints near each other to form a 2x1x2 or 3x1x3 structurer which you can see from the images below. Players might get confused if they produce too many structures, so they should name the waypoints right after they create them. They can create name for structure by right clicking then naming the waypoints in accordance to their need. While you are standing on a waypoints, you could left click to change its name or link it to another waypoint.
But there are one minus point in the Waypoints mod. Crashing issues on client have been reported by too many players using this mod. Fortunately, the creator are trying to fix the problem in upcoming map to enhance player’s experience with the mod.
