There is no universal registration of bike serial numbers. Even the number stamped on the frame doesn't necessarily mean much. Your best bet is to figure out the manufacture of the frame, and see if they have a lookup for it. However, all of this is generally irrelevant, as who originally made a bike doesn't have any real bearing on its. Just found this thread, so for Gitanes guitars the serial number number on the block is different than the number on the left of the label correct? I'm assuming the number on the label is how many have been produced? My DG-255 says '10553', has there really been over 10,000 of these guitars made?
Where can I find the serial number decal?

Fold treadmill into upright position. There will be a white or a silver decal located on the frame in one of the following positions:

Regular Models:
The serial number may be located on a white or a silver decal in one of the following positions:
Below the power cord on a white or a silver decal.
On the right hand corner at the base of the treadmill.
On the left side frame of the treadmill where the upright mounts to the bottom frame at base of treadmill.

The serial number on a system may be located in two locations:
On a white or a silver decal on the main frame under the seat or the backrest.
On a white or a silver decal on the main frame along the floor.
There are three possible locations for a serial number on a bike. These are:
Look for a white or silver decal on the base frame at the rear of the bike.
